The Role:
The role of the Supervising Social Worker is a key position that brings together the needs of children and young people who are looked after with the support element of foster carers. We expect you to work with Connected Persons Foster Carers as partners and guide them to their full potential within parameters of the Fostering National Minimum Standards 2011. We come from a restorative practice base and encourage and celebrate successes and support to find ways of making a difference when things just don’t go so well.
For this post we are looking to recruit a Fostering Supervising Social Worker for a permanent position of part time - 30 hours. In this role you would support Connected Persons Foster Carers with regular supervision, support at all professionals' meetings and work alongside the Childrens Team. You would complete annual reviews and attend Warwickshire Fostering Panel when necessary. Other aspects of this role are to support foster carers at children’s reviews, placement stability meetings, standards of care meetings and allegations. You will also support Connected Persons Carers to attain an SGO when appropriate. We are offering this role so that we can meet the needs of increasingly growing fostering service. Importantly your work will be child focused, analytical, and based on safeguarding evidence.
We would welcome you into a stable and established team and offer training and high-quality supervision.
Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
This is the difference you make.
