About Us
At Warwickshire County Council (WCC) we work with Older People and their families / carers building strong relationships and connections to help citizens find long-lasting solutions. Our work contributes to our wider County Council aim – to make Warwickshire the best it can be for everyone. It’s a big responsibility that can be challenging at times, but this is what drives our staff to succeed, develop and achieve.
If you’re someone who wants to do the best job possible, who approaches everything with passion, positivity, tenacity, courage, and purpose, then we want you to work with us.
Throughout 2020 / 21 we continue to look to the future and build on our personalisation agenda in the service.... Covid hasn’t stopped us!
It has helped us shape and develop a focus on wellbeing, utilising technology, opening opportunities for career development and renewed our focus on reflective and supportive leadership. These are the backbone to our offer to our workforce.
WCC invested in Microsoft technology in 2019 which has enabled our workforce to seamlessly transition to homeworking. We have a whole council commitment to agile working and employee wellbeing. We nurture, support, and challenge each other to achieve the best outcomes for all our citizens.
We provide safe and manageable caseloads and have provided substantial additional capacity to support teams with Covid pressures.
The Role
We are seeking creative, innovative, and dynamic practitioners, who have good organisation skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will need the confidence to develop new ideas and approaches and an ability to form close working relationships with colleagues and other agencies.
You will have regular supervision and support within the team and the opportunity to develop close working relationships with other colleagues within the council and wider organisations.
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic registered Social Workers and unregistered social care practitioners to join our Older People teams and Quality in Care Team, to improve efficiency in the delivery of our service across the county. Your base can be negotiated following the appointment of the successful candidates, at the moment most of our staff are working from home in line with government guidance. If you have a strong desire to expand your learning, our positions offer a great opportunity to learn, develop and progress. We look forward to receiving your application.
