Week 1: Mon 13.00-17.30; Tues 12.00-19.00; Weds 12.00-17.30; Thurs 12.00-17.30; Fri 9.00-17.30
Week 2: Tues 9.00-19.00; Weds 12.00-17.30; Thu 12.00-17.00; Fri 9.00-17.00; Sat 9.00-16.00
Week 3: Mon 13.00-17.30; Tues 12.00-19.00; Weds 12.00-17.30; Thurs 12.00-17.30; Fri 9.00-17.30
Week 4: Mon 13.00-17.30; Tues 9.00-19.00; Weds 12.00-17.30; Thu 12.00-17.30; Sat 9.00-16.00
Sundays as required at Rugby Library on a rota basis, enhanced rates of pay for Sunday working, plus time off in lieu.
The above post is based at our busy Rugby Library where you will be the first point of contact for all users. The post-holder will be an integral part of a team, therefore, you will need to use your own initiative and take responsibility to ensure that tasks are completed and customer needs are met, ensuring a positive experience for customers of all ages.
ICT plays a huge role in libraries today so experience of using office packages, the internet and social media is needed to assist our customers when answering enquiries, giving hands- on advice and carrying out administrative duties.
You may also be required to assist with events and activities so you should have the ability to share enthusiasm and knowledge of books and reading with all ages, as well as have the enthusiasm to deliver promotional work including children's activities which may involve singing and telling stories.
Key Skills & Experience Requirements
On the application form please clearly list that you have the required 4 GCSE passes, grade C or above or equivalent to include English and Maths. Please list each qualification separately with the obtained grade.
Working hours across the week will be allocated on a rota basis across all our sites. Libraries are open on a Saturday and specific sites also on Sunday. Staff will be required to work weekends and working patterns will be based on the needs of the service and are subject to change.
