About us
The Heart of England Community Rail Partnership (CRP) has recently been established to bring together rail industry partners, local authorities,businesses and communities to help maximise the economic, social and environmental benefits of the rail network to residents, businesses and visitors. The partnership area covers key rail corridors in Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire.
Community Rail involves local people and organisations working in partnership to improve their local railways on initiatives such as station enhancements and innovative promotional schemes that can help encourage more people to travel by rail and improve the quality of the rail experience for existing rail users.
The CRP aims to promote businesses and attractions along the rail network through coordinated publicity and events as well as increasing passenger numbers, the quality of customer interactions with rail and making contributions to levels of social inclusion.
About the role
Warwickshire County Council is looking for a Community Rail Partnership Officer on behalf of the Heart of England CRP. The role is to be hosted by WCC with the post reporting to the Heart of England CRP. The job will include a varied and challenging workload, with the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects and activities. There is the potential for the role to develop through the variety of projects being delivered and establishing links with other partnerships across the region.
Key skills and experience required
To be successful in this role you will need to be motivated and have good organisational skills. You will need to have the ability to use your initiative, have strong problem-solving skills and be able to inspire others.As you will be working with and alongside a wide range of internal colleagues,partners and community groups, you will need to have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
