Social Worker - Child Asylum and Leaving Care Team
Joining our established team you'll be providing a social work service to a highly professional standard. Managing a caseload and travelling throughout the county, you'll be working predominantly with children and young people who are unaccompanied asylum seeking minors.
Undertaking robust assessments and completing the required paperwork will also be part of your role.
In addition, you'll be communicating with a wide variety of clients, communities, partners and agencies as well as working on your own initiative, often in pressurised situations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to high quality services, achieving good outcomes for children.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role it's important you have a professional Social Work qualification and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. It's also important you have strong analytical and communication skills both written and verbal and can work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively with individuals, families,carers, communities, colleagues and other agencies.
With the ability to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure, whilst at all times maintaining composure and your professional stance, you will be used to making difficult decisions. With strong influencing, persuading and resilience skills you'll also have child care experience and good IT skillsFor further information please see the Job Description and Person Specification
