About us and the role
Warwickshire County Council’s Adult and Community Learning Service is a dynamic, forward-looking adult education service, judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We provide a wide range of adult learning courses across the county. Our county-wide programme for people who need support to learn and improve their English skills is expanding and we are looking for a part time English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Adult Education Tutor to join our experienced and friendly team.
This is a permanent post for 18.5 hours per week over an agreed number of days. Your base office will be either Camp Hill Early Years Centre in Nuneaton, The Bloxham Centre, Rugby or Pound Lane Learning Centre, Leamington.
Key Requirements
Working under the direction of the Programme Lead for ESOL, you will have excellent communication skills, patience and a flexible approach to your work. Successful candidates are likely to be experienced teachers of adults, with a sound knowledge of how adults learn and the range of approaches that can be used to support them. You must be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and to supporting the rights and aspirations of under-represented groups.
