Following an internal promotion, we are looking for a driven, ambitious individual to join our Democratic Services Team managing it on a day to day basis. Working within Legal and Democratic you will be key to the delivery of a series of compliant, robust and innovative Democratic functions.

About the Role
As a manager, you will deliver outstanding governance support to elected members, senior officers, colleagues and partners nurturing the continued high standards of our Democratic Services team and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements within that area. You will play an active role as part of our service team working in partnership with colleagues to innovate our service delivery capabilities.
You’ll need sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to work flexibly, quickly and accurately under pressure, collaborating with our friendly and supportive team of innovative professionals. You will also need to be willing to learn and adapt to the challenging, ever-changing public sector democratic and legal environment.
In terms of experience, you should have a demonstrable track record of delivering democratic governance support in a fast paced and innovative public sector environment. You must have the skills needed to manage and lead in accordance with our behaviours and have experience of advising and supporting in a senior capacity in relation to Democratic Services. You must be a leader and have the ambition to learn new areas in order to provide the best support to your team and the organisation.
