We work closely with partners to deliver habitat management objectives and have numerous areas of the parks under various agri-environmental schemes. The excellent surfaced paths enable easy walking around the site, and provide access to the adjoining ancient woodland of Ryton Wood, two popular Play Areas and a themed Pirate Trail.
Burton Dassett Hills Country Park has a series of rugged hilltops affording spectacular views in all directions and Fox Covert, small woodland with a surfaced footpath. Opened as a country park in 1971,the 100 acres contain a wealth of historical interest such as the prominent beacon, quarry remains and the nearby 12th Century All Saints Church.
