Within Warwickshire County Council, the team also provides technical engineering support to other County Council Departments delivering enhancements to existing farming infrastructure and waste management facilities and we have even had the opportunity to provide a technical advisory role to local government projects in Sierra Leone where they are seeking to improve their local municipal facilities.
As a Degree apprentice you will be assisting other engineers within the team in the delivery of projects ranging from small highway improvement schemes to multi-million-pound infrastructure projects. You will be involved with the production of feasibility studies for new schemes; the technical design of new highway structures using a broad range of techniques including advanced structural modelling software; communicating and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and members of the public; preparing and tendering construction contracts including drawings, specifications and contract documents; and construction site supervision and contract administration.
