About us
We are looking to appoint a Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership Assistant to join our successful and innovative team. There you will play a key role in shaping the future development of road safety in Warwickshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to start or progress your career in road safety as well as the opportunity to work with a number of partners including the Police, Fire and Rescue Services, Public Health and Warwickshire County Council.
The Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership identifies, develops and delivers road safety measures to meet the objectives of the partnership. These include engineering measures, education initiatives, road safety campaigns and enforcement of highway regulations. There is much more to come over the next few years, with the partnership focused on delivering an ambitious pipeline of schemes.
About the role
The successful applicant can expect a varied and challenging workload that is commensurate with the job grade. The post will focus on supporting the Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership Coordinator to deliver all aspects of the partnership’s work. This includes working with senior representatives of all partner organisations, supporting various teams of professionals involved with service delivery and public communications, including social media platforms and the partnerships website.
Key skills and experience required
To be successful in this role you will need to be motivated, creative, organised and willing to take responsibility for the success of your activities. As you will be working with and alongside a wide range of internal and external colleagues and partners, you will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Previous experience in road safety or related activity is desirable, but not essential as on-the-job training will be given.
The post is advertised on a full-time basis, but applications from candidates seeking flexible or part-time working arrangements will be considered.
