About Us and The Role
Are you considering a career in data analytics and analysis?
The Transport Delivery team arranges and manages a network of transport services and contracts, supporting key initiatives such as Home to School, SEND, College, Adult, Public and Concessionary Transport.
As our Data Technician Apprentice, you’ll provide important data management support across the Transport Delivery team, as well as playing a key role in delivering projects and supporting customers. This role will involve using Transport Delivery’s bespoke databases for service delivery, and WCC’s financial management systems. You’ll be supported to learn all aspects of the role by experienced Transport Delivery professionals, enabling you to build excellent relationships with both internal colleagues and a range of external stakeholders, and to provide proactive and effective support to senior colleagues.
The skills, knowledge, and experience that you will gain in this role will enable you to complete the Level 3 Data Technician apprenticeship qualification, delivered by our fantastic training partner, QA. As part of this apprenticeship, you will be able to access QA’s Microsoft Data Essentials programme, which includes an additional Microsoft Specialist: Excel Associate module, as well as building your skills to source, format, and present data securely, using software like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
