Recycling Advisor - Lower House Farm, Full time

If the answer is yes to both of these questions then we have the perfect opportunity
for you.
Warwickshire County Council provides excellent recycling facilities across the county and we are committed to reducing waste and its impact upon the environment.
We are looking for Recycling Advisors to join us and help us with this mission.
We are looking for one full time Recycling Advisor based at Lower House Farm
Recycling Centre near Dordon.
The Role
As a Recycling Advisor you will be working outdoors informing and assisting
members of the pubic with the use of the recycling and disposal facilities. Although
primarily based at Lower House Farm Recycling Centre you will provide cover at
other recycling centres in the County as required. You will operate and maintain
plant equipment; as well as ensuring all areas of the site are kept clean and tidy at all
times. We are keen to develop staff and provide a range of relevant training.
Recycling Centres are open every day of the week and full time staff work an
average of 37 hours a week with more hours in the summer than the winter and
working 7 days on, 2 days off, 7 days on, 2 days off, 7 days on, 3 days off.

Key Requirements
To be successful you will have experience of working with members of the public
and have a real interest in waste minimisation and recycling. Working at a Recycling
Centre you will have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a
small team. Used to working outdoors and in all weathers, you will be capable of
physical, manual work and operating machinery. In addition it is important you are
flexible in your approach and happy to work on a shift basis.
