Adoption Admin Officer - ACE (Adoption Central England)
37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Adoption Admin Officer.
This role will be based at Nelson House, Whitecross, Hereford
ACE is the Regional Adoption Agency for Coventry, Solihull, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Herefordshire. We are now an established
Regional Adoption Agency that is innovative and committed to the highest standards of adoption practice.
The Business Support Team needs a great team player with high level keyboard skills and competency in the use of computerised office systems. You will have accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills. You will have an ability to communicate effectively with the public, professionals, clients and colleague shaving a professional, but friendly, telephone manner. You should be organised, able to work flexibly, exercising confidentiality at all times. You should be used to working under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritising your own workload and able to use initiative to respond to problems and unexpected situations.
A unique aspect of this role is that you will also be responsible for the Letterbox Exchange Service. Letterbox provides a confidential and safe means of exchanging information between birth families and adoptive parents, this should enable the adopted child to have access to ongoing information about birth family members as they are growing up and vice versa.
