Assistant Engineer - Development Management (Maternity Cover - Fixed Term)
About the role
The Development Management Team, which is part of the Planning, Development and Flood Risk Management Group, is engaged in supporting the continued economic regeneration of Warwickshire. The developments dealt with by the team vary in scale, location and complexity, and the team is responsible for providing statutory highway advice to the Local Planning Authorities, pre-application advice, carrying out technical approvals and inspections for new road adoptions associated with developments throughout the County.
The job description for this post is streamlined, and as such includes the day-to-day operations of the Development Management Team,providing statutory highway advice, pre-application advice, technical review and approval of new road construction, highway inspections and adoptions. The role of the successful applicant will largely be to provide technical responses to formal and informal planning consultation requests, and assisting colleagues with other aspects of workload within the team.
Due to the nature of the role the ability to travel effectively throughout Warwickshire is essential.
