About Us and the Role
Warwickshire County Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join their Portfolio Management Office as a Business Analyst Apprentice. The apprenticeship is a great opportunity to work with experienced business analysts and project managers and to earn a salary, whilst working towards a qualification in Business Analysis and gaining a firm understanding of how projects are managed within local government. The apprenticeship gives you hands on work experience, supplemented with a professional study programme
Working as part of a team including Programme and Project Managers, Business Analysts and Project Support Officers will enable you to develop analytical, managerial and communication skills through a variety of projects. Our projects range from small software implementations to widescale reviews of Council functions
As an Apprentice you will be assisting other Business Analysts within the team in the delivery of projects. Business Analysts analyse problems, develop solutions and bridge the gap between technical and non-technical staff. The Business Analyst helps to make sure that the organisation does not waste money and time on projects that don’t meet the organisation or customer needs.
The apprenticeship
Business Analyst Apprenticeship Level 4. The training provider is QA Limited. The study component of the course runs for 18 months. During this time you will be required to spend a minimum of 20% of your employment hours in off the job training. You will be managed and supported throughout the training and assessment programme.
Completion of this apprenticeship will enable you to apply for further employment with WCC as a Business Analyst / Project Support Officer / Business Support Officer subject to available vacancies.
You must have
To be considered for this post you will need to have good standard of general education and excellent IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database entry and reporting. You will also need excellent written and oral communications skills, with ability to be trained to create reports and presentations to a high standard with strong attention to detail.
