About Us and the Role
Warwickshire County Council (WCC) is looking to appoint a Strategic Environmental Advisor.
Reporting to Commissioner Energy & Environmental Management, you will provide a high level of expertise in your professional discipline, implementing, designing and shaping solutions to achieve service delivery plans. You will ensure WCC maintains its ISO14001 certified environmental management system, addressing all statutory and compliance obligations and seeking to minimise and mitigate the adverse impacts of the County's activities on the environment. In addition you will help shape how the Council responds to new and emerging environmental challenges and opportunities, aligning environmental initiatives to the Council’s net zero carbon targets.
You will be an active part of the Strategic Asset Management team which delivers a range of activities for the WCC estate from scoping, developing and commissioning programmes and projects that lead to significant capital investment and assuring risk and compliance across the portfolio.
