Family Information Service - Family Information Service Officer
Warwickshire Family Information Service (FIS) is a busy team that provides information and signposting support on a wide range of subjects to families and professionals working with families in Warwickshire. The role of FIS differs across the country; in Warwickshire we work very closely with professionals both within and outside the council to ensure families receive the information they need at the earliest possible opportunity to prevent escalation of need. This includes ensuring digital information is accurate and up to date via webpages and social media, and managing a confidential helpline service.
This is an exciting varied role. You will deal with telephone and e-mail enquiries on a wide range of subjects that a family may need. This increasingly involves families who have contacted the MASH (multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) and who are experiencing complex and emotional situations. There is an expectation to travel around Warwickshire representing FIS at events; and office based work including managing a database of ofsted registered childcare and developing the FIS social media presence in Warwickshire.
Key Requirements
We are looking for professional and enthusiastic people to help us achieve our drive to provide excellent customer service in everything we do. Due to the varied nature of the role you will need to learn new processes and take on information quickly, be flexible and adaptable, and be able to travel effectively around the county to represent FIS.
