About us and the role
A unique and exciting opportunity for you to shape, influence and grow the culture of our people within Warwickshire County Council supporting the delivery of the Council Plan to ‘make Warwickshire the best it can be, sustainable now and for future generations’. – As the HR Strategy & Commissioning Manager you can be truly influential in making this happen.
This is a great time to join us at Warwickshire. The Our People Strategy focuses on making the Council a great place to work where diverse and talented people are enabled ‘to be their best’ and sets out the building blocks for our future success. You will lead a team of HROD professionals in establishing and commissioning the annual delivery plans which underpin Our People Strategy whilst developing and agreeing the direction to assure our fitness well into the future.
In addition to holding Chartered CIPD status you will be a credible and influential leader with a strong professional track record of delivering excellence through people. You will have generalist experience that spans Human Resources & Organisational Development, and which is likely to have been both at a strategic and operational level.
Your persuasive and effective relationship management skills will support you to build and maintain connections with a variety of partners and stakeholders as a significant part of this role. Sector specific experience is less important than your alignment with our values and, together with your strong strategic and commercial focus, will be key enablers in your success in developing and commissioning the Our People Strategy underpinning the Council Plan.
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Working in partnership with our HR Service Manager in Enabling Services responsible for HR&OD delivery, you will ensure that the service is developed and delivering our organisational outcomes, whilst providing leadership to the HR&OD strategy and commissioning team.
We serve Warwickshire and you will be required to attend our Warwick site from time to time in addition to other Warwickshire County Council settings where necessary. Beyond this, our focus is very much on work being what you do rather than necessarily where you do it. Customer service and agile working are central to our success.
Benefits
