Job description
IT Project Manager SFIA Level 5
37 hours per week
Fixed term until March 2020
The Council are currently in the process of transforming how they deliver and improve services to the business. Implementation of digital and IT projects will pay a key role in enabling this. We are looking for an experienced and motivated IT Project Manager to join our successful ICT
Project Management Team. Our team bring agile and waterfall project management expertise to a range of priority IT projects, and deliver outcomes which are transforming service delivery at Warwickshire County Council.
The Role
The Project Manager will take ownership of several projects and will be responsible for the following:
*
Delivery of business critical IT projects that demonstrate benefits realisation
*
Build on techniques and best practices to support continuous improvement
*
Managing project delivery using agile or waterfall project management techniques
*
Creating and maintaining all project documentation, following Prince 2 methodology
The projects may be standalone or part of complex business focused projects for which you will manage the IT workstream.
Alongside these technical projects you will be working with all areas of the business creating project plans, business cases and project initiation documentation and work closely with project teams and relevant shareholders to ensure successful delivery, within budget and to the desired quality.
Key Requirements
The candidate will be an experienced Prince2 project manager with knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies. Experience of working within the Public sector is desirable.
