Warwickshire County Council is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to manage and develop the provision of specialist-related transport throughout the county.
This role is responsible for the management of our in-house accessible transport service of 30 vehicles which is used to provide home to school SEND and adult social care transport.
Candidates should have experience of managing a passenger transport service, and have an innovative and progressive approach to maximising the benefits of technology in service delivery.
Having worked to deliver for vulnerable people, and a good understanding of the responsibilities of local authorities in regards to SEND and Adult Social Care transport are also important.
Priorities are maximising opportunities to make the most of the WCC accessible minibus fleet in a targeted, cost-effective way.
This role is countywide, with vehicles based at depots in Nuneaton, Rugby and Leamington, so a mixture of working on site and at home.
