Warwick District Council is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Planners or Surveyors to lead the Council’s work in the complex and challenging area of bringing forward high quality development and timely infrastructure on major development sites.
This role sits within the Planning Policy & Site Delivery team of the Council, responsible for matters relating to planning policy, site delivery and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
This post will involve working closely with developers and infrastructure providers to help shape masterplans for strategic sites and to ensure developer contributions are coordinated to deliver infrastructure requirements. The work will also involve the careful monitoring and management of development. This post is likely to focus on development proposals in a specific geographic area of the district, although the postholder may be asked to work on sites and projects across the district.

You will need to have strong collaboration, communication and negotiation skills, along with an understanding of development viability and the planning system. You will also need to have experience of working with key stakeholders in the development process.
The intention is for the postholder to work from home. However, office and hybrid working is also available. Whilst home working is offered for this role, it is a requirement that the successful candidate be available to attend meetings at our offices in Royal Leamington Spa when required.
