Data Analyst – Community Safety
Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2024 (with a potential extension until 31st March 2025)
Part-time – Up to 25 hours
Location: Primary base in Shire Hall (Warwick), 1 to 2 days per week, remaining days working at home

About the Team and the Role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Data Analyst to join Warwickshire County Council’s Business Intelligence Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that provides a critical function to the council, ensuring that we can make evidence-based decisions, we can understand what we are doing well and where we can do better.
This role will support the Community Safety Partnerships by assisting to deliver a community safety specific analytical work programme. Drawing on a background of data collection, analysis and presentation, gained either through degree-level study or experience in a similar role, you will use your skills to identify trends and patterns in crime and disorder, using Police and other key community safety partnership agency datasets, to find links between people, places and events, and develop inferences in an attempt to explain what is happening. The recommendations you make will aid decision making and service delivery, allowing for the effective targeting of local partnership resources within a challenging financial environment.
Candidates for this role should be able to collate and analyse data from a wide variety of sources and turn it into imaginative yet operable recommendations for action. An ability to present information to a variety of audiences in written, verbal or graphical form is crucial, as is an ability work well both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
