Communications Officers (Marketing & Communications)
37 hours per week – Fixed Term for 12 months
Salary Grade: £32,234 - £34,728 per annum
About Us and The Role
We are looking for two experienced communications officers to join our busy team. We provide a high-quality marketing and communications service to promote council services and support the organisation to achieve its strategic objectives. We plan and deliver measurable projects and campaigns to promote key messages to specific audiences, using the full range of owned, earned and paid communications.
Whilst both roles are for a 12-month fixed term contract, they will each have a different focus.
The first role will plan and deliver campaigns and projects to promote a wide range of council services, including supporting our Covid-19 response. Using online and offline channels, you will protect and enhance our reputation with the media, residents and other stakeholders, building strong relationships with internal and external partners. Experience in planning, executing and evaluating campaigns, including the creation of content and management of social media channels is essential.
The second role will focus specifically on a new Child-Friendly project and is ideal for candidates with a background in partnership working and engagement. The postholder will lead the marketing and engagement activity to establish Warwickshire as a child-friendly county and support the project to transform our council’s services for children and families. This will include the development and delivery of an engagement and marketing plan and the establishment of a child-friendly network involving communities, businesses, schools, services and transport providers, ensuring our children and young people can excel and achieve.
In both cases, successful applications will need resilience, creativity, attention to detail, at least 5 years’ experience in marketing or communications and strong organisational skills.
