About Us
Heritage and Culture Warwickshire (HCW) provide a wide range of services that help local communities and visitors to connect and engage with their local heritage. We safeguard Warwickshire’s archives, history and natural sciences, protect its historic and natural environment and provide high quality arts and cultural opportunities and lifelong learning for everyone in the County and beyond.
The service maintains and develops 3 collections: Archives, Museum and Local Studies and provides public access to those collections, either in person or digitally, and ensures those collections are relevant to current and future generations.
Heritage and Culture Warwickshire has several sites based in and around Warwick, Market Hall Museum, St Johns House, Warwickshire County Record Office and a Collections Centre for the museum collections. We are a countywide service and working with partners from within and outside Warwickshire County Council offer outreach services to local communities.
The job will be based at Warwickshire County Record Office (WCRO). WCRO looks after Warwickshire’s historic archives with documents dating back to the 12th century. Our busy public service welcomes nearly 4,000 visitors per year, helping family and local historians with their research.
