About Us
The County Record Office looks after Warwickshire’s historic archives with documents dating back to the 12th century. Our busy public service welcomes nearly 4000 visitors per year, helping family and local historians with their research.
About The Role
This fixed term (three year) post is for 22 hours per week. We are looking for a qualified archivist to undertake a range of professional duties, including cataloguing and public service delivery. You will be required to manage the work of large team of volunteers and liaise with other colleagues in Heritage and Culture Warwickshire regarding outreach activities.
Key Requirements
You will need to be able to work flexibly and support the other members of the archivist team. You will have a level of physical fitness to enable you to lift and carry documents from the strongrooms around the weight of 10 kg. You will also need to fulfil all the essential criteria on the Person Specification. This position would suit a newly qualified archivist.
